Basel in international comparison
Increasing competition means that locations now have to increasingly present and position themselves in an international environment. City rankings are thereby becoming increasingly important, especially as they enjoy great attention from the media – often regardless of their quality. The location of Basel receives some very different results, depending on the analysis methods and the criteria selected. Unfortunately, some of the major rankings do not consider Basel at all – despite it’s being the third largest city in Switzerland. Basel would thereby cut a very good figure with a proven high quality of life.
