St. Jakob-Park
The St. Jakob Park,
Switzerland's first multipurpose stadium, was
inaugurated in 2001 after just two and half years under construction. Situated on the south-eastern
edge of the city in extensive park and recreation grounds, the world-renowned Basel architects Herzog
& De Meuron have constructed an "experience park", which, with its unique dimension, bold
architecture and ultramodern infrastructure, provides the optimum setting for large-scale events with
well in excess of 30,000 visitors.
Conveniently
and comfortably
reached by public transport, the St. Jakob Park with its 33,433 seats is one of the most beautiful multipurpose
stadiums in Europe. Its ample space and modern, varied rooms provide a forum for events of every kind
(indoor and outdoor). As well as national and international football matches, the St. Jakob Park regularly
hosts open-air concerts by well-known rock and pop stars. It also provides a suitable venue for all
kinds of major sporting and cultural events, exhibitions, customer events, shows and shareholders meetings.
It would befit absolutely any occasion or event. The Premium Lounge is a winning spot with its exclusive
at-mosphere and unique view of the stadium's interior. It offers space for events with up to 1,000 people.
Operating three catering businesses, Berchtold Catering AG provides the ultimate culi-nary experience.

Not

the St. Jakob Park and its two large, ultramodern digital screens (LED) offer the ideal setting for
live presentations, open-air cinema and television productions. The event park designed by the two top
Swiss architects Herzog & De Meuron is a remarkable meeting place for young and old alike, housing
