The auditorium serves not only the Basel Hilton,
but also the Bâloise insurance corporation and the Bank for International Settlements. The clever design
of the building makes intelligent use of incident daylight and of modern acoustics, yet fits perfectly
into the existing townscape. At ground-floor level, organizers can use the hotels reception area and
its entire infrastructure.
The exciting architectural design of the air-conditioned
auditorium also meets the most demanding technical requirements; besides the usual technical facilities,
it provides 220 seats, four interpreters cabins with state-of-art interpreting equipment, a variety
of light systems, floor sockets for all media, a connection for television transmissions, a motor-driven
wide-screen system, a control room for all applications, a stage, and various ancillary rooms, preparation
rooms, and a fully equipped conference secretariat. All areas are designed for wheelchair access.

the auditorium forms part of the hotel, excellent catering is available at all times, from a small cocktail
