Basel Sport Night
On the 25th August 2012, for the sixth time, the city centre of Basel will become a sports arena: people who are normally “couch potatoes”, fitness freaks, families with children and those who are simply curious will come together to try out some new activities.
With the Sports Night ticket, the participants obtain access to around 70 different types of sports, which will be offered in, among other places, public squares, on the Rhine, in gyms, in the indoor pool or in the café. The sports providers of the region will be presenting themselves and their sport – from Afro Dance through baseball and Alpine wresting (Schwingen) to Zumba – and invite participants to take an active part. The offer are not explicitly aimed at sportsmen and women, because the workshops require no previous knowledge.
