Basel is Switzerland’s most dynamic economic area. And it intends to remain so. Therefore, the government of Basel-Stadt actively promotes excellent relations to private companies and trade associations. To create good conditions for companies is a top priority. However, the government never actively interferes in economic processes. There are two specialist departments helping new companies to start business in Basel: BaselArea Economic Promotion and the Office of Economy and Labour of Basel-Stadt. More
