Growing strong together
Basel does not only engage in partnerships with other wealthy cities. It is also committed to development projects in poorer countries. Every year, the city gives 1,65 million Swiss Francs to development projects, both abroad and within Switzerland. The money is intended to improve the conditions for people in the poorest countries of the world and in the poorest regions in Switzerland.
